Daniel J. BirachDaniel J. Birach - Daniel J. Birach has served as president of Carolinas HealthCare System’s HEALTHWORKS division since October of 2012. With over 25 years of experience in the area of healthcare management, Dan is responsible for implementing strategies for long-term health improvement and population management in the business community. Prior to joining Carolinas HealthCare System he held executive management positions at Alere Healthcare, Agfa Healthcare and AT&T. Dan has an MBA in Finance from the University of Dayton and a BA in Logistics and Materials Management from Michigan State University. Dan serves as the chairman of the board of directors for MedCost LLC and serves as a member of the board for Applied Health Analytics, LLC.
Brett HendersonBrett Henderson - Brett Henderson has been with Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Co. for 27 years. His career at Charlotte Pipe and Foundry began in manufacturing at the Cast Iron division. While working days, Brett went back to school at night and earned his BBA from Montreat College. While working at the Cast Iron division, Brett was promoted several times. In 2010 he moved into the role of Associate Benefits Manager, where he was responsible for all associate benefits. Currently, Brett serves as Director of Benefits and Administrative HR. Brett has been involved in Wellness for Charlotte Pipe since 1991 when a corporate wellness team formed. Over the years, he has led many initiatives in promoting health and wellness for the company. He is a certified Group Benefits Associate and is working towards his Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation.
Paul H. Keckley, PhDPaul H. Keckley, PhD - Paul H. Keckley, PhD, is a Managing Director in the Navigant Healthcare practice. With nearly 40 years of experience, Paul brings extensive healthcare industry analysis and policy expertise to Navigant’s Healthcare leadership team. He has established Navigant Center for Healthcare Research and Policy Analysis and as the Center’s director, his primary focus is the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, its intended and unintended consequences, and the likelihood of Health Reform 2.0. Paul writes a weekly health reform newsletter, Pulse Weekly, and has published three books and more than 250 articles. During the period preceding the passage of the Affordable Care Act, he facilitated sessions between White House Office of Health Reform sessions and major health industry trade groups as private sector input was sought in the legislation. Dr. Keckley currently serves on the boards of the Ohio State University Medical Center, Healthcare Financial Management Leadership Council, and Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy. He is a member of the Health Executive Network and an adviser to the Bipartisan Policy Center in Washington, D.C.
William C. Warden, JrWilliam C. Warden, Jr. - Bill Warden served as Executive Vice President of Administration of Lowe's Companies Inc., from February 1996 to February 2003. Mr. Warden has been an Independent director of Bassett Furniture Industries, Inc., since 2004. He serves as a director of Great State Bank and served as a director of Harris Teeter Supermarkets, Inc. from February 2008 until the sale to Kroger in 2014. He currently serves on the board of Wake Forest Baptist Medical where he is past chair.
