Mergers & Acquisitions
The current environment for M+A activity is red hot. Directors need to be prepared to address their roles as board members as timing is frequently not within their control. Whether it is the introduction of an activist investor, a friendly approach, or a hostile incursion, understanding duties and responsibilities in these situations is a critical need.
Join us for an extraordinary dialogue with Mary Winston, the most recent CFO of Family Dollar, with experience in each of the scenarios described, both as an executive and working with the board of directors; and Chris Gyves, Chair of the Public Company Advisors Team of Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, LLP. Both will bring their extensive experiences and learnings to bear in what we believe will be a highly educational and entertaining discussion. The panel will be moderated by Jeff Atkins, who has extensive experience in the M+A arena, as well.
